Unpack, Connect, Inspect

trevista® CAM is the intelligent camera for surface inspection. The preconfigured all-in-one unit combines the patented trevista® illumination concept with an intelligent camera and the image processing software Coake® 7 and can be installed and operated in no time and without engineering skills.

Unpack: Everything you need to start is included in the scope of delivery. All cables are clearly labeled, so plugging the system in is a piece of cake with the accompanying "Getting Started" manual.

Connect: First, the intelligent camera must be connected to the illumination unit. This connection has usually already been established when trevista® CAM is delivered.

In the next step, the remaining cables must be plugged into the correspondent ports: 24V power supply (1), digital inputs and outputs (2), USB/VGA cable to connect monitor and mouse/keyboard/USB stick (3), and, if required, the Ethernet cable for remote access via another PC (4).

trevista® CAM can be operated directly via monitor, mouse, and keyboard, or via remote access from another PC in the same network. In this example, the camera is accessed directly. For this purpose, the USB end of the USB/VGA cable must be connected to the USB hub included in the delivery, while the VGA end of the cable must be connected to a VGA monitor.

In the example, a wireless keyboard with integrated mouse was used. However, the USB hub has enough ports to connect separate devices.

Now everything is good to go: Once the power cable has been connected to a power source, the intelligent camera boots. After the operating system has been loaded, the user must sign in, and the image processing software Coake® 7 starts automatically.

Inspect: Coake® 7 automatically starts a sample program featuring the "trevista SURFACE" command, so a simple surface inspection can be performed immediately. Simply place the inspection object below the dome and start the inspection. Exposure time and further parameters can be changed via the sliders.
